I have a 1976 sea ray with a mercrusier out drive powered by a ford V8. I replaced the ujoint and exhaust bellows. The boat is taking on water through the gimbal bearing that?s where it looks like the water is coming in. The Bellows are tight and new. the boat had sat for 10 years so thats why i changed the bellows. The water starts to come in as soon as the out drive is covered with water when backing it in. where could it be leaking. It does not do this running on muffs only when in the lake. Please help where could the water be leaking.
Thank you

When you replace the bellows, was the area where you attach the bellows to the transom shield all corroded away in places?
