I have a 1989 Mercruiser, 4.3L, V6, 262 CID motor with an Alpha 1 outdrive.
The question is where does the water exit the outdrive? I know that the exhaust is supposed to come out of the propeller, but does the water also come out there or up around the bell housing? My wife and I were winterizing the boat yesterday, and water was coming out around what looked like a port on the bell housing. Being new to boats I am not sure if this is normal or not?
