What are the double holes for on the backside of that motor? Is water suposed to be coming from there or are the holes for exhaust??? The picture is not my motor. my motor is a 80s model 115 just using it because its the first one that came up.
When idling, there should be a wet exhaust mist coming out of the exhaust relief holes at the top of the midsection. When on plane, the pressure relief valves in the thermostat housing open and flood the powerhead with addtional cooling water. When this happens, it is normal to see large streams of water coming out of these two exhaust relief holes.
