Read through a few threads but not sure if getting the 10 micron is a good idea for Carb outboard. I have 115hp carb Johnson 2-stroke '96. Can I still use the 10 micron or will that put too much strain on the 2-stroke engine? Heard 10 micron should on be used on DFI outboards.

I'm thinking of grabbing this aluminum unit:

Thanks all

I'd go for the 10 micron filter. About the best you can get . Yamaha also uses them on their carbed mtrs.
