hello
its a canister filter that allows the water to settle to the bottom. works great if you service it regularly and dont add snake oils to the gas.
it only holds a finite amount of water then will pass it on. most carbs have a filter in them at the inlet area as well.

starbaby, I have one piece of advice to you. find a mechanic or technician that you are comfortable with and stick with them. If you are suspect of everything that someone does for you then move on to someone you trust. I have read all of your posts and am very thankful that you are not one of my customers. I like to educate and teach customers what I am doing and why, if they don't get it, or question my estimates....I ask them to take their business elsewhere, my work speaks for itself, and I don't need someone second guessing me on every job. There is enough "real work" out there that we don't need to make up work or "roll" people when they come in.

Star Baby, was the price about the same?We are busy enough during winterizing, that the work orders get scrawled out very quickly.I know I use 'water seperator' and 'fuel filter' m eaning the same thing.Best thing is to ask 'politely' what was done.

Waterone1,now I know I'm not the only one to have advised a boat owner to find someone he can trust.
Sometimes it is VERY hard to convince someone what you do and why.I even had one customer bring a complaint here to Iboats.I sure felt odd talking to him on the phone after reading his posts and replies the night before, but I couldn't find a way to tell him. GRIN.

Since we all tried to "rip you off" on the advice we gave you on your miriad other problems, why are you coming back for more?

No further advice to you will be coming from me.
