I noticed today a large amount of water gushing out of the 2 exhaust relief holes ( I think that's the name, square holes under the power head) on my 2001 2 stroke yamaha when cruising at higher speed. Should I be concern or is it normal, Thank you.

Normal. The faster you go the greater the exhaust volume and pressure. Going to seek the path of least resistance.

Never noticed water gushing out of the exhaust idle relief holes, just a spray of water at idle.
Most exhaust pressure if normally dumped through the prop under way and I would believe that the water exiting the motor would go out there also

The water only gush at higher speed, only spit few drops and smoke when idling.
