Water hose length????

Hi everyone, can anyone definitively tell me how long a 3/4" water inlet hose should be between the bell housing and transom plate? A few searches told me 13" , 13 and 7/8", and 14"

Please let me know exactly what it should be. I want to do this right.

I just looked it up in my Sierra catalog and it looks like both 18-3601/18-3602 are the same hoses 3/4x13 7/8 long
