Water hose plug missing

I posted this in the engine section but have gotten minimal looks and no answers. Hopefully somebody can help me out.

I have a 150 Mercury Outboard.
Last weekend I had the water hose hooked up to it in the driveway.
My girlfriend unhooked the hose and filled up the water tank onboard.
We then went to the lake etc.

Problem is that she did not put the screw in plug back in the rear of the motor. It is now missing. How do I get another one of these? I have searched for it on the parts portion of this site but I really dont know what it is actually called to find it. Can somebody steer me in the right direction?

It is the threaded Bblack plug that screws in the back of the outboard motor. You remove it to screw the water hose on to the engine.

Thanks.

You need to post a picture as I don't think anybody is going to understand what you are talking about. I know I don't. I've never seen such a plug.

That plug is the same as a garden hose male fitting. You can find a plastic plug at Lowes, Home Depot or your local Mom & Pop hardware store. It is a simple garden hose thread.
