Title says it all. I bought a boat with 88hr and had been sitting for a bit. I drained gas tank, which had way too much water in it, and put 1/2gallon of xd100 in fill port on boat. Later finding oil in sump, I was scratching my head...while trying to to start, the gauge kept alerting low oil, I tried priming and it felt like water. After observing, I noticed that I had a 1/2gallon of oil floating on the top of 1/2g of water...of course after priming probably a quart of water somewhere.

I am guessing that the boat had been sitting because this guy's ex-wife filled gas/oil with the hose.

I can easily drain the oil, but where does the prime go and how do I fix that? Engine is a Evinrude 115hp etec.

????----If water got inside on the bearings you risk serious damage.----Get this issue sorted out as soon as possible or yesterday !------Model # of motor.----If it is an E-tec there is no point in putting oil in the gas tank.

Saved by the cracked oil filter! I found good oil in the lines, but couldn't explain why no pressure was building... Turns out the spraying sound was water.. my guess is that he primed it, wouldn't run, let it sit, froze and cracked filter...

Another $12 ....
