Hey Im a new boat owner and when I take my boat out a always have about and inch off water in there. Is this normal. Not sure if there is even supposed to be any water in there or dry? when I run the bilge pump it does pump some water out but always leave a little bit in there, is this normal? its has a brand new pump in it. Thanks

If you are tubing, swimming, ect.... Then it is normal to have some water in the bilge. If you are just putting around and in the boat then no the bilge should be dry. When you pull the boat out and remove the plug how much water is draining?

im just driving around no jumping in or out the boat or pulling anything. When I take the pulge out problem almost a gallon of water comes out. When I put the bilge on should it be completly dry? I do have a small crack in the back top of the boat where the swim board is but its no bad the rubber around that is pushed down a little bit and the screw out could that cause it? also a couple cover snaps arent on the boat just holes. When pump goes on show it drain it out all the way?

What engine configuration? Outboard, I/O ? Also, your bilge pump will not remove all of the water. A 1/2" or so will always remain there.
