I've noticed a huge difference this year from last year, so thought I'd ask the question.

Are any other Canadians noticing water in there gas this year?

In a word "no" :)
I would suspect the station/marina supplying the gas. There is nothing wrong with "Canadian" gas!

I think you'd need to specify a much smaller region to get anything more than anecdotes. Canada is huge and the gasoline doesn't all come from the same path. If I found water in gas anywhere, the gas station would be the 2nd most likely source. My own tank and lines would be 1st to look at.

I've been told they use a floating pick up rather than a fixed pick up near the bottom of their tanks.

Either way it's near impossible to get a little bit of water from a servo, a full tank of water yes but not a little bit.

Think of what would happen with a floating pick up, every person after you would get straight water.
With a fixed pick up every person before you would get straight water.

Have you noticed hundreds of dead cars parked near the service station?

The only thing I could ask is, Was the gas you got from a marina?
Marina fuel tanks I have found are above ground and if they were not fully topped off in winter or totally emptied before the first refueling in the spring, they would get condensation build up big time.

You must be joking  tried a bud light recently ?

Bud Light is not beer. I'd be happy to take some suggestions on a decent Canadian beer though. Tried Nelson, Kootenay as well as some of the stuff they import down here.

I can speak about my local marine pumps. you are gaurenteed to get water in yer tank at every fill up. I run a racor and if using fuel from the marine fill up dock I have to drain the water from it all the time but if I fill from town pumps I never have to drain it. I run fuel from the town pumps no matter what it takes now. it's worth the 2 min drive. I learned my lesson when running an engine without a racor. this is my experience around my hometown anyways.

I can't say for the other guy's but two of us use the same filling station, and have had the same problem. Cuts out after little running, remove the water/fuel filter to find it full of water. Time to drain the tank me thinks, based in Nova Scotia.

On to the important stuff now lol, totally agree with the beer being poop in Canada & American, best bear is a nice Italian beer called Peroni
