i was rechecking the compression and when i looked in the bottom cylinder after taking out the spark plug i saw some creamy white/green stuff. this could be water or maybe seafoam still in the cylinder from decarbing last night. how do i confirm and what do i do if it is water?

both cylinders were equal. guage read 50 but it was a rental and looked as if it had been dropped a few times. does this rule it out?

i took a close look at the gasket and it had a hole in it -blown i suppose. is there something i need to adjust or does this just happen sometimes? can i patch it with gasket maker? what do i need to do to get the water out before the it hurts the cylinder?

are we talking about the cylinder head gasket or the powerhead gasket?
