Water in fuel ?

Does this sound like water in the fuel or something else?

Motor is pulsing periodically - every 20 seconds or so. It runs fine and strong, but there is slight drop of about 100 RPM's for 1-2 seconds then goes right back.

I have been out 3 times so far this year, the first 2 outings had no problem, but this last ride is when I noticed this. At the time I was down to about a 1/2 tank of fuel.

Started the season on a full tank (65 gals) that sat over the winter with Sta-Bil (like I always do with no prior issue). Prior to putting her in the water in early April, I also added in some E-Zorb. There is a water seperator filter between the tank & motor that was replaced when I preped her for the season.

Any ideas ?
Thanks John

Re: Water in fuel ?

Should be easy to tell, just pop off the filter to see if there's any water in it.
Mine did this some time back, but only after the water filter was just about full to the top with water(the motor had sat for 4 yrs before I bought it).. Doesn't seem likely in your case.
