Does anybody know of a water removing product such as Heet that used in automobile? My motor uses a 50/1 gas/oil mixture, I found some water in the tank maybe by getting a hold of some bad gas. Since the gas have oil mixed in, I don't know what to use. I don't want to go the route of taking the gas tank out of the boat and empty it because it in a bass boat and that is a bunch of hassles. Thanks!

Water is heavier than gasoline, which gives you a way to get most, if not all of the water out of your tank.

1. Tilt the boat up so all the water runs to the rear of the tank.

2. Get yourself a good fuel line and bulb combo, with no fittings on either end.

3. Carefully position the intake hose so that it is at the lowest point of the tank.

4. Pump the bulb until only fuel is coming out the output hose, which should be in a gas-proof container.

5. Flush out all fuel lines on the boat to remove any water that may be in them.

That ought to do it, but you can get a water separator filter to put inline on your boat to catch any that you didn't get.

Finally, figure out how that water got in there and eliminate the problem.

Heet will work for small amounts of water, Gonefishie, but your best solution is to use a water seperating fuel filter (after you take CAT's advice).
