Is it normal for a bass boat to take on some water slowely?? Like i have to turn bilge on about every half hour.. my under boat is PERFECT.. only a few beach marks.. no holes or cracks... only thing i can figure is around screw holes from dept finder and etc... any other thoughts?? or where to look....

It isn't normal for any boat to take on water, having to turn on the bilge pump every 30 minutes I would say it is a pretty decent hole you have.

Next time you are out take a flash light and see if you can see where it is coming from, the other option is to fill the boat with water and see where it comes out but watch as water is really heavy and you don't want to bend your trailer..

I have had a livewell feed line break, took awhile to find that one, it took on water but I could never find a leak in the boat.

Fill up the livewells while trailered and see if the bilge fills up. If not then do what 5150abf said and carefully fill up the bilge while on the trailer and see if you can see the leak on the outside of the boat.

I'd suggest 3M Marine Sealant, either the 5200 or 4200. The 5200 is supposed to be better in the long run, but takes longer to cure. They can be found at nearly any boat store, or at Wal-Mart.

The 3M 4200 fast cure will do the trick...
The rub rail will leak when underway from the spray on some boats..all you need is to run a small bead on the underside of the rail.

Just re-sealed everything on mine this season. Make sure you dig out all the old stuff first though. I do it about every 5 seasons but inspect it about every week. Tedious job but worth every second.
