WELL JUST REPLACED THE GASKETS ON THE STAINLESS SCREWS FOR THE LOWER UNIT. ADD A FITTING WITH 12LBS OF PRESSURE SUBMERGE UNIT IN BARREL ABOVE LOWER UNIT GEARCASE WAITED FOR 15MIN. NO LEAKS .NO BUBBLES.SOMEONE ALSO SAID SOMETHING ABOUT VACUM CHECK; DO HAVE ANY IDEA ABOUT THIS TEST.WELL FOR KNOW REPLACED ALL 3 GASKETS ON SCREWS FOR LOWER UNIT FILLED WITH OIL AND WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS. THANK AGAIN FOR THAT ADVISE

If it held 12lbs (shouldn't use more than 10), and it stayed up,a vacumm test would probably pass too.<br />No bubbles are also a good sign that there are no leaks. Only filling it with oil and running it a few hours and re-checking will tell you for sure.<br /> But it sounds like you got it.
