water in lower unit

hello all,i just took out my 17'bass tracker with 1984 35hp johnson sea horse.after draining the oil it was mostly water.i changed it the night before with new plugs and gaskets and it too was mostly water.no i know it needs to be serviced but i can not afford it.so what i need to know is how hard is it to replace the seals?i have a seloc manual but it might as well be in spanish.does anyone have any advice? and no it makes no noise and purrs like a kitten.thanks

On your 35, there are four sources's of leak's, Drive shaft, prop shaft, shift rod, prop shaft bearing carrier O-ring. You will need the proper tool's, plus manual for this job. Do not try a screw driver to remove the seals. This may work on the prop shaft. Don't try it any where else.

richard - Start with the OMC shop manual for your engine. It will lay out the tools and the procedures.
