The boat and engine are new to me. I was told it was winterized properly but who knows. When I bought it this spring it ran great the oil was nice and clean. The PO ran it on muffs for me. At home I ran it on muffs once more ran great no water in the oil that I noticed however it only ran for a couple minutes at a time. Yesterday was the mayden voyage, ran great however I noticed when I pulled the dipstick their was milky oil. Where would you guys start? I'm hoping for just a head gasket I have heard its not a horribly hard fix. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is my first IO I have always been an outboard guy so the knowledge base is limited at best. Thanks again and enjoy the weekend!

How much water in the oil are we talking about. Thimble full or gallons of water?
Everyone always hopes head gasket, have yet to see one be the problem if there is a lot of water in the oil.

This thread may shed some light on the problem for you http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=369864
