Any advice would be very helpful.......
I have a 2000 4.3 Mercruser, I was running it on the river and it started running rough, so I put it back on the trailer and took it home. When I got home, I found water in the oil. I flushed and drained the oil, changed the oil filter. I started the boat and let it idle, while checking the dip stick every 5 minutes and never found anymore water in the oil. I took it back on the water, and ran it around 3500 rpm's for 20 minutes. I stopped and check the dipstick, and there was no sign of water on the stick. The boat was running great at this point. So I increased to 4500 rpm's, stopped to check it again and found creamy white water on the dipstick and blowing out the vent onto the valve cover. I took the boat back to the trailer, still ran good going to the dock. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?
