water in PTT unit 83 Johnson 115

Whats the best way to flush the PTT if you get water in the unit. I think this thing is self bleeding but I want to make sure it clean water free fluid. It took on water last fishing trip and i had to loosen that big flat head plug just under the trim motor to allow the motor to be raised so i could get it home.

When I raised the motor it blew a nasty milky fluid from that plug.

I think i messed up the fill plug seal last time i filled the resivor.
