I have a 6hp wards sea king. The model is tag is missing but the best I can tell it is a 1972(ish). I got it last fall and finally got it started. Warmed up and ran great. The water pump was working well and everything ran fine. After I ran it I checked the oil in the lower unit and had water come out and a little oil. I know I will need to add oil but am not sure of what kind since I don't know the model number. Also, why is water in the oil? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It obviously needs new seals. There are several. Do all of them. It sure would help if you could identify your motor. Do either of these look familiar?

It looks pretty similar to the first picture. I checked again this morning and the drain plug didn't have a gasket/seal on it. I'm going to get one and try again.

I thought that solved the problem but it didn't. How do I go about getting the gaskets for the motor if I don't know the model? Thanks for any info!
