While dropping in my port 470 3.7 in my boat I accidently hit the water tube comming off the gimble housing on the inside transom. I took extra care to observe any leaks from there when I launched the boat. Sure enough it drips a small drop every 5 to 10 seconds. My temp is great on the engine and water is circulating fine. Is this something I can tackle in the fall or is there some crazy damage that I am not aware of that this maybe creating?

At first I was thinking maybe its an internal leak and I would rot the transom but it appears I might be ok for now. I do not have extra gimble assemblies to look at and my manuals are not very clear.

Its a 1988 imperial 260 cabin cruiser with dual 470's and alpha ones.
