Hi folks:

Changed the oil today (60hp Mercury 4-stroke, built 2013, S/N 1C227585) and while poking around warming it up with the cowling off I noticed some water dribbling out of somewhere. Looked a little closer and it seems to be coming from the bottom of this big unit — excuse my ignorance, but I don’t know what it is.

What is it and what to do?

Chris

Good for you to change the engine oil and do perfect maintenance.
I agree with Doh, It is the VST Vapor seperator tank, water would never leak out the bottom of this tank only gas goes in a VST, and the high presure fuel pump is in there and theres a screen in front of the high presurre fuel pump that needs to be cleaned every year you own the boat..anyway.You sure its water you dont want a fire, you have a fire extinguisher and flares right.
We have twin 2002 115hp four stroke EFI,there is a fuel cooler, water goes in one end of this 10 inch metal part and goes out the other end, that cools the fuel this could be leaking or somewhere else,
Put the muffs on and find the leak and please report back so we can help you.
