I statred the boat for the first time this year. I have a 1991 3.0l HO omc inline engine with an omc outdrive. I just replaced the exhaust manifold and riser. It runs fine, keeps nice and cool but leaks a little water (drops at idle and small stream at higher rpms) from right around the back of the starter. It almost seems its coming from where the flywheel housing is. The boat was ran on a hose so I don't think its a bellows issue. Also, the bellows were replaced about 2 years ago. Any ideas would be great. Is there a core plug or freeze plug that I am missing? Thanks in advance. All I want to do is go boating!

There is however, only one for the water jacket behind flywheel, although personally I have never seen one leak, even on blocks that have been frozen. Doesn't mean it cant happen though...'nutcase

I believe the Chevy 250 has the same configuration at the back of the block. The plug had popped out of an engine I purchased... here's what it looks like missing:
