Well, you start to get past one problem when you hit another...sigh...seems like it will never end. ok, here goes;
Motor was running a little rough, so I just cleaned the carbs and put it back together and what not. Put the earmuffs on, started it up, ran a little better. Still sputters and dies after about 20 seconds, but i'm gonna have to put this problem on the back burner.
I began to notice some water begin to leak out of the motor while it was running. The water was dripping out near the top of the case very near to the top right spark plug. (200 hp v6 evinrude o/b). Now i'm not all too familiar with boats and outboards, but common sense tells me that A) this is not normal and B) this is not good.
Turned the motor off and the water off and of course the drip stops. Soooo, anyone have any idea of what may cause this? I assume its not normal for water to be in this vicinity (near the upper portion of the outboard?) Maybe this might be a cause of the engine sputtering and dying at idle, if water was reaching the spark plugs?
