Is this normal or a problem ? Fine mist comming out of the exaust 59 35hp Johnson

YUP!!!! it will be a shower of water at higher speeds, if you are worried, replace the impellor if you already have not

Changing the impeller is a job all boaters can and should be able to do. Get yourself a manual and about 3 hours. After the first time it will only take about an hour. Good Luck

agree on prior advice re. water pump repair. It's a DIY job, but takes a little courage (and preferably a manual) the first time. And take your time.<br /><br />There should be more than a mist coming out of the exhaust port. A heavy spray is more like it. Maybe we are just doing semantics -- should be a bunch of water coming out of there. After you replace the impeller, you may see quite a difference.
