Water out of exhaust snout?

I just completed replacing a blown piston on a 1984 85hp force engine. I used Frank's method of going through the reed ports. It worked great! I started the engine this morning with muffs on and noticed water comeing out of the exhaust snout. Is this normal?? I am concerned because when I did rehoned the cylinder I stuffed some rags in the intake and exhaust ports. A couple of rags in the exhaust port fell in and I was not sure what to do so I attempted to remove the exhaust cover on the side of the engine. Bad move! I broke a couple of bolts off. I attempted to use an easy out but it snapped off in one of the holes and I cannot get it out. When trying to drill it out the drillbit wandered off to the side so I tapped it and used a smaller bolt and left the original in. I get a bit of water leaking around this bolt but as long as it isn't getting into the exhaust chamber I think it is ok. I might try using JB weld to plug the leak.

Yes water comes out of the snout. As far as the bolt issue maybe frank can help you out there.

Thanks for the feedback Cordell.
I am afraid of doing more damage if I try any more tricks to get out the easy out. I picked up some epoxy putty that is supposed to be good for high temperature and water. I will give that a try and reinstall the smaller bolt.

the only way i know to get easy outs out is to shatter it with a shape punch .then a good magnet to pull out all the pieces . they are hardened steel and are brittle .. i have done this before it takes alittle time but can be done .. u will never drill it ..
