I was out testing more props today and I was paying particular attention to the water pressure on the smartcraft guage after talking to the local Merc. mechanic.<br />He gave me the operating water pressure for the motor at idle, wot, and at 2500rpm.<br />Now the question! I seem to be falling within spec. at idle and wot but at 2500 rpm the pressure should be between 9-12psi. I'm getting 4.5-5.5psi. Does this mean the impeller or water pump are shot?<br />The motor is a 2001 that I bought new from a dealer last year. Is this something that the warranty should take care of?<br />I'm new to these big motors and don't have a clue about how they should be operating but man am I getting educated fast!
