Water Pump change - I'm stuck

Hoping for some quick advice - Trying to change the water pump on my 2005 Mercury Optimax 150 - new to me - previous owner could not remember when it was changed last so I thought I should do it.

I got the sucker unbolted but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the rubber tube off (I assume this is the speedo tube) - I have done many of these before including a mercruiser and older oil injected early 90s merc.

How does the tube come off? I don;t want to pull too hard, already have tugged it pretty good - I thought maybe the bolt at the bottom needs to be loosened but I cannot get a wrench in there. - See the Pic below.

Any quick help would be greatly appreciated - desperate to get this done.

Thanks in advance
D

OK - I'm not stuck - I am just an idiot. It turns out all you have to do is press down on the little black ring around where the tube goes and it unlocks.

I should just delete this thread but I won't in case there is someone else who suffers from my stupidity sometime in the future...

Hey, glad its not deleted, you learned me something. Not an OB guy so figuring the speed-o tube works like a high pressure fuel filter release is cool. Thanks :thumb:
