Water Pump/Cooling

I've got a 1998 Johnson Model #J115TSLECM. Nothing coming from telltale while on muffs. Was going to replace water pump and talked to dealer and he said to blow air through system. It's common for these to clog up. How much pressure? The lake was low last year and probably ran some sand through it. Thanks for your help.

Put the ears on it and while it's running, run a wire up into the tell tale hole. These clog up easy. Usually works. If it don't, shut the engine down and blow some air up through it. 75lb or so will do it.
