Water pump failure

My 115 HP 1996 Johnson is overheating, even at idle speed, and will do so in about 2 minutes of running. The pee hole gives a good stream. I removed the water pump and it looks perfect. The vanes are not warn and still flexible. Any good ideas? I have a new pump nearly ready to try with a hose hookup.

The new pump kit (complete) along with the standard overheating and cooling system service (new head gaskets, deflectors and t-stats) should get you good to go.<br /><br />Good luck!
