water pump gasket

I just reicieved my water pump repair kit from iboats, there is only one paper gasket for the new metal plate, shouldn't there be two? one for the under the plate and one for between the plate and impeller housing? all the pictures only show one but my seloc manual says both should be replaced. I have a 1985 30 hp evinrude.

now you are find out why, we do not recommend a seloc manual, it is full of errors.

soooo does that mean there isn't one below the plate?

The gasket goes below the plate, there is no gasket between the plate and impeller.
