Help please!! I have a cooling problem and I suspect a water pump failure .How can I remove and replace the water pump impeller of a 1975, 6hp Evinrude 6505 long shaft outboard engine?<br /><br /> ismartec@aol.com

Go to an OMC dealer and get a complete water pump kit. It has complete instructions. Not too hard, other than getting fasteners out if motor has ever been used in saltwater.
