Water pump impellor removal on an "R" outdrive

I was trying to replace my water pump impellor on a 1982 Mercruiser "R" sterndrive and it seems to be stuck on the shaft. It absolutely won't slide off like I've seen in the YOUTUBE videos. I'm guessing the keyway is holding it in somehow. Anyone have any suggestions other than just tryig to cut it off?

If it's that stuck, it's likely a brass hub, and is corroded to the shaft. The only way to remove it is to cut it off. Carefully so you don't hit the shaft. As it's an annual replacement anyway, nothing lost.
