I have volvo penta 275 outdrive attached to a crate 350, but im.sure question pertains to any make...
My water pump has developed a leak at the pee hole, so its time for a new one, i have the enclosed cooling system so it runs antifreeze not raw water, so my assumption is that i dont really need a marine version (i could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time)
Now im not a fan of any of the local parts houses, ie discount or autozone so i am looking online at summit, found two that i am liking however.....
If it were for my car i would get the pricier one being as its aluminum , versus other one being cast iron.
Can i so same for boat? Reason for my hesitation is my.intake is aluminum and although working just fine, no holes or leaks, it looks absolutely terrible!!!!
Boat will mainly be used on inland lakes, but will occasionally see some icw.

Thanks in advance.

Never mind! Looked around on here and finally found my answer.. went with the cast iron one, its a flowkooler 1759, impeller has a military grade type 2 grade 2 anodized coating ( probably spray paint in laymens terms. Lol )

Another water pump related question.. well.sort of
The hoses hoses that go to heat exchanger both raw water and antifreeze, where would i find them? No part numbers visible on hoses to cross reference and heat exchanger itself has no visible markings, so dont evwn have a manufacturer name... am i just winging it? Buying hoses and returning what doesnt fit? Or is it a universal fit type thing?
