A serial number would be more helpful but you should have a Series 1 type so this number should work.

This always amuses me... Someone willing to risk how many ever thousands of dollars, to repair an engine after a cheap impeller let go.... All to save $35.... Does the Sierra warranty cover consequential damage? I realize that most people will not have a problem... But do you really want to be the one that does?

I have not heard anything bad on sierra .I used a off brand coupler and no problems yet .actually i willl save 60.00 as i wanted bottom too. I drive and watch gauges constantly so not to worried. Lost my job of 18 yrs so gotta save where i can as much as i would like to by merc parts. But even when i order merc might end up sierra anyways as alot of websites dont specify what you get.

Make sure you get that blade that broke off out of the system. You don't want that lodgine in the oil cooler and restricting water flow.

already dug it out, boat cooled perfectly ran 140-165. By the seal wear on shafts this outdrive will be replaced sometime in the near future.

If you're talking about the seal surface below the water pump, have a look at SPEEDI-SLEEVES. I have used them quiet a bit and saved plenty of money...

Re: water pump # mercruiser120

i've used a speedi sleeve on the top of the drive shaft too. only thing about that was it needs to be put on after ya put the impeller on as the impeller wouldn't slide over the speedi sleeve. at least not with the one i did.
most recent thing i did for seal wear at the top of the drive shaft was to R&R the very bottom seal in the upper and when reinstalling, drop it off at a slightly different location. i did that last year and while inspecting it this year, it seems i was successful as it looked like i could see where the seal was riding just above the groove in the shaft from previous seal wear. that seal didn't get replaced this year.
