water pump on a 1980 70 hp johnson

i just ran my motor and the water pump was working and than it putured than stopped and i dont know how to drop the lower unit

before you get to involved,make sure the small hose that feeds your pee tube isnt clogged ,or the fitting on eng and the exit side,that is a classic sign,as for removing the lowerunit,you have a 3/8 head screw under the bottom carb that disconnects the shiftshaft,then you have lowerunit mounting bolts on the side of the lowerunit and under it above the prop
