Water Pump Repair Question

I just purchased a water pump repair kit for my 03 90 TLR. When I went to install it, I noticed the impeller was larger and did not fit into the insert cartridge which was included with the same kit. Is this normal? The part number for the kit was matched with my engine so I believe I got the right kit.

you have to turn/bend the rubber impeller blades to fit tightly into housing, a touch of grease to assemble will help. Good Luck!
