hey guys, just did my first complete pump rebuild/install, and she's peeing strong...also water is coming out of the exhaust holes as it should..."as this is an non throug hub exhaust motor"....my question is about the steady stream thats coming out of the mid section just above where the lower half of the motor pivots...there are 2 hole at least 1/4" round in the front, and i do not recall any noticable flow from there b4....i would like to know if this is normal....as always thanks... the more i learn the more i can help the next guy

Your new water pump is now much stronger than what you previously had which might be why you didn't notice the water flowing out those two relief holes. If not for those relief holes, water could travel up the driveshaft tube to the powerhead area.... don't want that.

Assuming that you've installed the extension spacer and O Rings on top of the water pump, do not concern yourself with this water flow (normal).
