Water pump seal ?

Im replacing the impeller on my 96' mercury 150 off shore xl and it seems like theres a seal missing , is there a rubber seal between the plastic sleave and the water pump cover and or the plastic sleave and copper tubing ? neither are present on the outboard or in the kit . any links to pdfs or diagrams would be great , thanks in advance

Should be a rubber grommet in water pump base to seal around tube...the sleeve is just a guide.

Item #40 is the grommet and #13 is the sleeve. The old grommet needs to be pried out, the new one slips in and the sleeve slides into the cover on top of the grommet.

thanks for picture , i did eventually figure it out all back together - now to test it but in sure its all good
