I have a 1983 15 hp sea king that I just got from a guy after further inspection I found there is no tube or hose or what ever its supposed to be that connects the impeller housing to the power head there for no water flow. I cant find ANY info on what its supposed to look like or any thing. Talked with a boat mechanic yesterday and he said I should be able to make one out of copper tubing?? if so how long does it need gaskets or is this something that does not need to be sealed?? sorry for the dumb questions first outboard and duck seasons getting shorter and shorter every day

Re: water pump tube??

This is a 1975 parts breakdown. If it is like your 1983, you just got real lucky. The #48 water tube is straight, and inserts into a #49 rubber seal at the top end. You should be able to look up in there with a flashlight and see the seal, directly above the water pump outlet seal. Sorry, I don't know the length. That's what they make tape measures for.

EDIT: Arrrgghh, upside down. Funny it is right side up on my computer. Well maybe you can figure it out.

EDIT EDIT: Ok right side up view added
