Hello,

Does anyone know if the water pump on a 1990 Force 120 should be able to pump water if placed in a tank that fills up to the intake vents? Basically, when I try this I dont see the tattle stream but if I hookup to a flushing device, I do. Does the entire lower unit need to be submerged?

Also, the high temp alarm sensor tested bad. Are these universal parts or is it specific to the engine? Any place online I could get one?

Thanks!

You need to submerge it to 3 or 4 inches minimum above the cavitation plate.
