Hey guys -
New to the forum - LOVE IT!

I just got a boat. It's an 18 foot catamaran Nautico By Seagull with a Suzuki 70DF Four Stroke.

The problem is that when I am going full speed (28 miles an hour) water hits the front of the motor and splashes back in the boat. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Check out the pictures

Thanks!

Splashing like that is often 1 of 2 things. The motor is mounted too low or a long shaft motor is on a short shaft transom.

Can you get a pic of the boat on the trailer from the side so we can see the motor AV plate and the bottom of the transom?

thanks GA -
I was actually thinking that the motor is too high and was going to drop it one hole down. I was thinking this because it's cavitating pretty bad. The cavitating gets a little better when I trim it just a tiny bit up.

This is the best pic I can get for now, I will take pics tomorrow and post

take a pic from about 10 feet away direct on from the side.

from the little bit of a pic you have, its too hard to tell. you want the anti-cav plate even with the bottom of the keel when your at 0 trim.

Geta a pic from 45 degree angle as well. I think becase its a cat, there are some diffent keel characteristics to consider
