Water spray over the bow

I have a 24' Manitou Osprey pro SHP with a 175 Yamaha on the back.

I get a fine water spray over the bow, kind of a mist with occasioanl larger droplets, when at speed. I'm trying to find why this is happening and how to fix it.

I have a dent in the keel guard on the center tube. (hit the trailer hard when first landing it). Could this be the problem?

Anyone else have one of these and if so do you have the same issue?

The keel guard (for lack of a better moniker) is an aluminum angle welded to the from of the tube and continuing down to the end of the nose cone at least. The dent is about 1.5" high and the guard is pushed about 3/4" to the stbd. The dent is about 4" above the bottom of the tube.

(How would I go about getting the dent removed? Would any aluminum welder be able to pound it out etc?)

But I also get the spray when I'm at top speed (about 38MPH) and I know that the front of the tube is out of the water at that speed. (Somewhere around here I've got a picture)

Any ideas?

Re: Water spray over the bow

Can't someone look over the front or perhaps another boat could observe?
Have you tried trim or move weight around a little.Could just need a couple of inches up or down.Of course with a toon there is a lot of water action.
Maybe if you add a couple of inches to the front deck might be enough to stop the spray. Test with thin plywood then use aluminum angle or plate.May only need a short piece over the problem area. Perhaps a deflector on the nose of each tube just enough to dissrupt the air flow.Like they used to put
on the hood ornament of cars in the 40s and 50s to devert bugs away from the windshield. they were only about 4" square and kept it clear.
may it would dissrupt air flow enough to keep the spray down.
