Water temperature at squirter

Seems maybe my t-stat is stuck? Water coming out of the squirter is just slightly warmer than the lake water temperature. Brother in laws Mercury has warm/hot water squirting out of it. Is this right? This is a 75 HP Mercury ELPTO on my pontoon. Seems to run fine, just curious......

telltail water is taken from different areas on different engines. The temperature of the engine itself is what you should be concerned with. The telltail temp varies with its installation.

Basically the tell tale water is there to let you know the water pump is working, I have a Merc and the water comes out really hot, my neighbor has an Evinrude and the water on his motor is barely luke warm
