Water Temperature Gauge Not working

The water temp gauge on my 2004 Larson 176 Bow rider is not working after the winter season. It doesn't register anything and is bottomed out. Is it most likely the gauge itself? Is it easy to replace? Any help appreciated.

Check you have 12V (purple wire) with ignition ON. If you have 12V then ground the wire at the temp sender and see if the gauge pigs to hot. If it does not peg, try grounding the wire going to the sender (Tan color), if it pegs its the sender or wire. If it does not peg with either then its the gauge
