Whats the best sign that the driveshaft bellows is leaking on 898its merc lower unit? Im trying to decide if i should replace bellows or wait till wintee.All bellows look good EXCEPT for the driveshaft one,which is pretty weather cracked..
That's the one that is most important. If that one leaks you not only get water in your boat, but the components being protected by the bellows get damaged as well, and that gets expensive quick. Change the bellows if there is any doubt.
