Water trapped in hull?

16' Bass boat 1973 Bomber Raider. I have a probiem with my boat pulling hard to the right. It's so bad I have to steer all the time -letting go of the wheel is not an optilon. It may be water trapped in the hull but how can I tell? The boat has two drain plugs-one at the very bottom of the transom and one higher up to drain the water on the deck . I have had the boat 20 + years and never had any problems with water-never more than a few drops when I pull the plugs. Would there be another place it could hold water and not be drained when I pulled the plugs. Reading thru the forums I see some who attribute this to a change in props. Could this cause it? I won't even try to tell you what a mess it is to put on the trailer but I have to fish! Does anyone have suggestions? I will be thankful for any help offered to solve my problem. Thanks Draghoe

Check the trim tab on the engine.
Sounds like it's gone or out of adjustment.

after you do what spinner says.......

put the boat on the trailer....take it to the self weigh scales...check the weight........

if it seems heavy....hit up the restoration forum and search foam core sample......

it could be caused by a few things......but it being a 73 and all........wet foam is a major suspect

sure sounds like a trim tab problem, or bent skeg, you will have to experiment a little, to get it right. move the rear of the tirm tab to the right, until you get it the best you can. i have mine tuned in to where i can turn the wheel loose.
