water tube problem ,but different

as with another thread ,on changing impeller on a 1980,25hp blueband the water tube came out with the lower end ,but when it is put i try to put it back in place there is nothing to stop it going up too far and it is a very loose fit into the powerhead ,do i have to start stripping or am i doing something wrong..thanks piperdog

There should be a rubber grommet (seal) with a spacer washer above it to act as a stop for the tube, Are you sure you have it in the right hole?

on the bottom leg there are three holes,maybe i not aligning it correctly at the powerhead,where it fits can it be seen with the use of a torch,thanks piperdog
