Patience.... I just replaced the impeller in my 89 60HP mariner. It was a pain trying to get everything lined up again. It also would help to have another set of hands to help hold the LU. You would think they would have made some kind of brace for the water tube so it would line up a little better. I pulled the LU several times and put back on until it finally went into place, then LOL it slipped back down cause I didn't have an extra set of hands!
